Dr. Michaela Fry assumes the ownership responsibilities and full-time veterinarian position at Pleasant View/Juniata Veterinary Clinics. Dr. Fry was born and raised in East Waterford, Pennsylvania and received her B.S. in Veterinary Medical Technology at Wilson College in 2004. While at Wilson College she also minored in Biology, Chemistry, and History. In 2008, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Fry has medical interests in food supply veterinary medicine and small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Fry joined our team in 2008 and purchased the practice from Dr. Braunstein in March of 2015 and has continued to build on the foundation that he built ever since.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Fry is a 4H leader for the Kiddin' Around Sheep and Goat Club and a member of the Penn State Ag Extension board. She resides in Juniata County with her husband, Doug; and a small farm consisting of sheep, goats, dogs, cats, Jersey cows, a rabbit, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and a horse. In her spare time, her interests include breeding and caring for her rare breeds of chickens, Romeldale and Suffolk sheep, sharing her passion for animals through education, and reading historical books and memoirs.
Dr. Melissa Ehrisman has been an associate veterinarian at our practice since July of 2002. Prior to that she attended Juniata College where she received her B.S. in Biology in 1998. From there she went on to graduate from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, earning her VMD.
Dr. Ehrisman resides in East Salem, Pennsylvania with her husband Stan, daughter Hannah and son Carter, and several cats and dogs. She enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Dr.Sol Allen Sath
Dr. Sol Allen Sath has been an associate veterinarian with us since June 2016. Prior to joining our team, he attended Shippensburg University, graduating with his B.S. in 2010. In 2012, he received his Masters degree in Laboratory Animal Science from Drexel University. He then attended Ontario Veterinary College at Guelph, graduating in 2016 with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Born and raised in Juniata County, Dr. Sath's hobbies include hiking, playing board/card games, and spending time with his wife Sam and son Sorin.
Dr. Sath also spends his time caring for three dogs named, Delry, Cash & Rico; six cats named, Maple Syrup, Blaire, Lena, Weylon, Utley and Rubix, and two rabbits named Rue and Quinn. Dr. Sath also has chickens & colony of rescue cats.
Tara, our Practice Manager, has been a part of our team since 2011. She has an Associate of Arts degree in Advertising Art and a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. She loves working with the animals at the practice, as well as helping people. She finds it very rewarding to help animals in need and she makes it her personal goal to strive for client satisfaction! Tara and her husband Steve have their own pets including Jackson, a flat coat Retriever mix; Kody, a Beagle mix; and Ellie, a domestic short hair. They are all black and white. When she isn’t working, Tara loves going camping and kayaking, as well as traveling. She also teaches Zumba Fitness Classes. She’s a work-a-holic and always loves to have something to do.
Nicole has been a veterinary technician with our team since 2008. Her favorite part about working at our clinic is seeing owners bring in their new pets. Nicole has many pets of her own. She has two Coonhound mixes named Gracie and Payton, four cats named Sid, Sophia, Diego, and Pickle, a mix of Red Bourbon and Royal Palm turkeys; Ricky Bobby, a rabbit; many Cochin and Brahma chickens; and Annie, Faline, Gilbert, Leo, Nibby, and Scarlette, pygmy goats. When she isn’t working, she loves riding horses, watching dirt track racing, and listening to music.
Jessica has been with our team since 2008 as a receptionist. She loves getting to know our clients and meeting new people. At home, she has two dogs; Charlie (border collie/mix), Toby (mastiff), seven cats; Dia, Puds, Murray, Mildred, Magenta, Felix & Edgar. When she's not at the clinic, she spends her time crafting, listening to music, and spending time with family.
Samantha has been a member of our receptionist team since April of 2016. Samantha is now the Office Manager for our Clinics. Born and raised in Juniata County, she enjoys all things outdoors - hunting, fishing and gardening. She also enjoys spending time with family and her dog, Chloe. Another one of Samantha's favorite things is going on mission trips; she's been to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Alaska, with her favorites being Alaska and Costa Rica.
Ali joined our receptionist team in August 2017. Ali has 2 dogs of her own Fletcher a Black Goldendoodle & Hudson a English Cream Goldendoodle. One of Ali's favorite things about her job is being a part of a team that shares the same love for animals as she does. When Ali is not at work she enjoys taking Fletcher & Hudson to obedience classes & for therapy dog visits. She also enjoys being outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, kayaking, crafting & shopping.
Amanda joined our receptionist team in June 2017. She has a has a degree in Medical Office Management. At home, Amanda has two horses, Lexy an Appaloosa and Elsa a miniature horse. She also has a Welsh Corgi named Copper & Lilly a Jack Russell- Pug mix. Some of Amanda's favorite things about working here is seeing all the animals that come into the clinic. When she is not working she enjoys riding horses, cooking, traveling and spending time with her two children Tyler & Bella and with her boyfriend Colby and his two children Callesta & Dagen.
Jessica joined our receptionist team in May 2017. She is a certified Phlebotomist as well. Jessica has 2 longhair dachshunds Parker & Pink. Jessica's favorite part of the job is seeing all the different breeds of cats & dogs. She also enjoys being a part of helping keep pets healthy. When Jessica is not working she enjoys kayaking, fishing with her husband Joe & step-son Justice and also enjoys watching Justice play T-Ball in the spring.
Ambee works as one of our certified veterinary technicians and has been part of the team since October 2015, with a special interest in cytology and surgery. She earned her Associate in Veterinary Technology degree in 2005 from Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh. She chose to be a CVT because she enjoys working with animals and educating her clients. Ambee and her husband, Daryl, have a son named Brice as well as several pets, including Gypsy (a turtle); Dusty (a horse); Wyatt and Peaches (dogs); Jade, Macatum, and Itty Bitty (cats), six chickens, and an assortment of fish. In her free time, she loves to go hiking, fishing, camping, and horseback riding.
Sarah is a part of our technician team and joined us in March 2018. Sarah has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Penn State. Sarah has 2 dogs Nala a German Shepherd & Mia a Golden Retriever. She also has 2 cats Rosie and Josie. Sarah enjoys educating clients about pet health and assisting with surgeries while working. In her free-time she enjoys sewing, reading, gardening, and kayaking. One thing people do not know about Sarah is that she was born in Texas.
Tara has been a veterinary technician with us since October 2014. She earned her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technician at VTI. Tara is a true animal lover; at home she has two dogs, Mack the pug and Princess the chihuahua, two horses, Secret and Snoopy, and four chickens. Tara's favorite part about working at our veterinary clinic she says is, 'Being able to help not only the animals but their owners. I also enjoy giving the animals a voice and to help people understand their needs.' Tara loves riding and showing horses. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Tara has traveled to France to see Paris and Normandy; she's also been to Dublin, Ireland.
Cheyenne shares her home with a German Shepherd mix named Macie and two Thoroughbred horses named Steel and Citi. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses and camping. Although she loves caring for small mammals here at the clinic, horses are her favorite animals.
Valerie graduated from Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh in 2010. After graduation she worked for Straley Veterinary Associates then attended Penn State University. She graduated from there with a degree in Agricultural Education and Extension in 2015. Valerie has been working at CPVets since 2012 where she is the lead technician. Valerie started to work for us in July of 2016. She enjoys educating clients on what may be best for the pet. Being able to help in any aspect is also a plus. When Valerie is not working she spends time with her little boy and runs a family farm with her sister raising club lambs and chickens. Valerie is an active 4-H and FFA volunteer.
Katie joined our technician team in June 2017. Katie enjoys working with all the different animals and building relationships with our clients. Katie has 3 dogs Shady a Golden Retriever, Luke a English Springer and Gizzy a Yorkie-Poo, 4 Pygmy goats Jenna, Larry, Lilly & Bonnie, 1 Flemish Giant Lucy and 2 Crested Geckos Tina & Louise. When Katie is not at work she enjoys reading, playing video games, camping, kayaking, swimming & spending time with her family.
Alexis joined our team as a kennel assistant in June 2018. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster College to become a veterinary assistant. She has 3 cats; Jax, Cyrus and Xena. Her favorite part of working at the practice is being apart of the group and helping animals in need. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and fishing. One thing most people do not know about Alexis, is that she is from Baltimore, MD.
Tessa joined our team as a Kennel Assistant in March 2018. Tessa enjoys seeing all the cute dogs and Golly (our famous office cat). Tessa has 3 dogs of her own Gibbson and Willow both Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, and Rose a German Short-haired Pointer. When Tessa is not in school or working she is helping with the Kiddin' Around Goat & Sheep 4-H Club and is a member of the East Juniata FFA Chapter.
