What is Happy Cat Month?
Happy Cat Month takes place every September. Founded in 2015, Happy Cat Month hosts a variety of activities based on one topic per week, including the Happy Healthy Cat week, the Happy Enriched Cat week, the Happy Multi-Cat week and the Happy Valued Cat week. The organization distributes information on social media to help pet owners ensure their feline friends live long and happy lives.
Who Hosts the Event?
Happy Cat Month is sponsored by the CATalyst Council, which helps ensure that all cats are well-cared for and valued as family pets and companions. This cat-caring society was formed to advance the health, welfare, and value of our feline friends, and to change society’s image of cats as being standoffish and aloof.
Why is Happy Cat Month Important?
The importance of Happy Cat Month is to let owners and animal lovers know that cats are social creatures by nature and they require the same level of care that dogs do. It also aims to show the public that having a cat live with you can provide health benefits and provide constant companionship.
